P2 Measuring Investigation
22nd Mar 2018
If it takes 41 children to measure the corridor, how many adults would it take?
We decided that a P2 child is about half the size of an adult.
We counted out 41 cubes. We put the cubes in groups of 10 to make them easier to count.
We put the cubes in 2 groups to find out what half of 41 is.
We found out that it will take about 20 adults to measure the corridor.
Mrs Boyd said she did not want to jump up and down 20 times so we decided to use her outline to measure the corridor.
We found out that it takes 30 and a bit adults to measure the corridor. Next time we will use metre sticks.
