BlackBerry Farm Visit
We were very excited to have a visit from BlackBerry Farm today. We got to pet a hen, baby chicks and rabbits. We learned about the life cycle of a chicken and that they are different colours depending on the breed of hen. We also learned that baby rabbits are called kittens. The lambs were just three days old and are being bottle fed. They were very hungry and we had to pass the bottle round our friends quickly! We really felt the pull of the lambs as they sucked on the bottle. Fudge, the billy goat, enjoyed his brushing so much that he fell asleep in the sunshine! Last of all we met the friendly alpaca. We joined in telling the story of the Little Red Hen and sang Chick, chick chicken lay a little egg for me, Peter rabbit had a fly upon his nose, and Old MacDonald to include the animals we had seen. Thank you for your visit!
