The children have been enjoying large scale construction outdoors. They have been very inventive and have shown great skills of working together, listening and negotiating, and problem-solving. There have been opportunities for large gross motor skills through the lifting of heavier items, as well as fine motor skills through joining and pegging. They built a stable for the horses and put a tarpaulin over it in case it rained. Some of the children then made food for the horses. A fabulous tractor was built which was then modified as farmers need trailers to transport animals and food!
