Forest Schools
We were bird watchers today as we looked and listened for birds as we walked around the school grounds. When we arrived at the area we were doing our activity we recapped on our forest school rules and went on a feather treasure hunt. The bright coloured feathers were the easiest ones to find which is why most of our garden birds have brown, black, cream and white feathers so it is easier for them to hide in the trees away from other bigger birds or animals that might want to catch them. We worked in groups to make bird feeders and chose a good place to hang them. The feeders were made from oranges, apples and bagels. Finally we enjoyed s’mores round our campfire.
