Mrs Martin's Retirement Assembly
We had a special assembly this morning to say thanks and goodbye to Mrs Martin, our school cook. The children shared with Mrs Martin their special memories, drawings of their favourite dinner and of course portraits of Mrs Martin.
She leaves her role as Unit Supervisor of Orchard County tomorrow after 40 years of service to the children of Annaghmore PS and then Orchard County. She will still be doing mobile cover for EA, so we may have her back in our school kitchen someday in the future. Our new school cook until February will be Ms Kirstie Campbell.
Mrs Martin will be in school tomorrow from lunchtime and anyone is welcome to call in and say goodbye to her.
Thank you so much for your donations to her leaving present. We put all the staff and parental donations together and presented her with a cheque to purchase a wooden greenhouse so she can grow her own fruit and veg. The children also presented her with an Orchard County teddy bear and a beautiful handmade card.
We wish Mrs Martin good health for a long and happy retirement and we hope she knows how deeply she is appreciated by the Orchard County community.
