Our Daily Bread

Today we finished off our World Around Us topic and became bakers! We used all our knowledge to create a wonderful white loaf. Throughout the process we were able to use our knowledge of fractions to help with measuring and used our knowledge of time to predict when the bread would be ready. We also discussed why milk powder, strong white flour and yeast were used. We observed the dough rise and change colour throughout the afternoon and we are looking forward to tasting it on Friday. As you can imagine our room had the most wonderful smell!
