In teams P1/2 completed several numeracy challenges together outdoors. They matched numicon shapes to the correct number digit. P2’s were able to identify odd and even numbers and practised counting in twos. Playing Snakes and Ladders and hopscotch were great fun too and then the class sorted some number tiles into less and more than sets. Using natural materials P1/2 recreated numerals to revise their number recognition in a creative way. Even with a little drizzle it was an interactive and enjoyable numeracy session.
