There were lots of excited faces this morning as we headed off for our first visit to St. Patrick's PS. When we arrived our friends greeted us in their assembly hall and we got into our 4 groups. Our day was full of fun activities which linked to our World Around Us topic, 'Castles'. Some groups began making their Motte and Bailey models; getting very messy with PVA glue and newspaper! Others researched parts of a castle and labelled and drew their own motte and baileys. Some groups got to construct their own drawbridges considering what made a strong structure using K'nex. The final activity was using the computers to complete a drawing of a castle, add text to their work and display it on the large screen for everyone to see. We ended our busy day by having lunch and playtime outside together! We're looking forward to next week already!
