P5/6 Christingle Assembly
P5/6 enjoyed the preparation and rehearsals for today’s Christingle Assembly and have learnt the story behind this tradition. They explained to the rest of the classes how each part represented an important message of the Christmas Story.
The orange π represented the world, the red ribbon π around it reminded us of a heart β£ a symbol of God’s Love for the whole world but also for the blood that Jesus shed at the cross βοΈ. Then the four cocktail sticks π‘with sweets π¬ and fruit π spoke of the four seasons and of a compass π§ pointing out that God’s message was for everyone across the whole world. The candle was to speak of the most important gift of Jesus- the light of the world π light. Well done everyone for sharing their light. π‘
