P5/6 were on their final Shared Education trip to Oxford Island today. Our class enjoyed meeting up with the children from St Patrick’s and listened attentively to the education staff explaining the activities based on the birds and mini beasts of Lough Neagh. We used binoculars to observe swans, ducks, cormorants, seagulls and swallows. They were excited at their catches when pond dipping and also went on a woodland minibeast hunt. I know they enjoyed every part of the day and am sure they will sleep soundly after the fresh air and constant activity. Take a look at our photos.
