Our class enjoyed the art and craft lesson today with our student, Miss Grimley. As part of our WAU topic on the Vikings, we used clay to make some bead which we then decorated with patterns. Next week we will be painting the dried beads and threading it onto a string necklace.
Vikings wore beads as decoration and to show they were wealthy. Women wore beads on their clothing and as necklaces, bracelets and headbands. Men wore bracelets, necklaces and some even wore beads in their beards.
