It was the perfect week to explore the concept of freezing and melting. We played for a short while outside and observed how the sun and salt started to melt the ice. We were learning about staying safe in icy conditions. We made our own ice cubes with dinosaurs trapped inside and had to use our hand and arm strength and coordination to free them, with some help from warm water to start the melting process. We played a listening game when we had to listen to clues about which scarf to pick and were practising tying them. We are very good at getting dressed for cold weather.
